Union thugs assembled outside the offices of FreedomWorks and after spewing their vitriol towards a FreedomWorks member trying to have a “civil discourse” with him, well, watch for your self.
The woman, Tabitha Hale who was filming the exchange, describes what happened,
"I'm a 5'1 female in a dress, and he was standing up on a garden wall above me in the courtyard. He hardly felt threatened. I was stunned, because generally protesters are there to, you know, get their message out. They don't normally shy away from the camera. I'm very much okay, and very appreciative of the support from my fellow bloggers and activists today. I am, however, shaken up by the level of sheer hatred I experienced today. The look of fury on his face in the close up is appalling. I had not exchanged a word with him. He didn't know who I was. He didn't even know my name, what I do. He had probably surmised that I was with FreedomWorks and that was enough."

That part makes me suspicious, is the guy a union thug or a bussed in payed troublemaker.
More evidence needed, just because someone acts thuggish at a 'protest' doesn't mean they are 'officially there'

And, why would he be holding a sign protesting against FreedomWorks?
What does it take to be "officially there?"
All I mean is that there are two maybe three possibilties:-
1. The guy is a union thug.
2. The guy has been payed to act as if he is union and try to make them look bad.
3. The guy is a sociopath who just likes hitting people and is nothing to do with either union or any outside agency.
Anyone could turn up at any rally/protest and act like he did, doesnt mean they are part of the group that is rallying/protesting.
The guy assaulted the gal, no argument.
His 'motive'? More evidence needed.
And, that is what these thugs count on over here and how they keep getting away with this.
Let's see, he showed up with the rest, was wearing a union T-shirt, holding a union sign, arguing with and telling the other FreedomWorks guy there that he wasn't intelligent and then smacks a woman.
Nope, no reason to believe he was there "officially."
Now c'mon Lew that wont wash.
If the guy WAS an imported trouble maker he is hardly likely to arrive there wearing a T shirt that says 'I am an imported goon' is he?
I am NOT saying he WAS imported, I want to see the evidence that he is a bone fide union member, that is all.
I am not defending the unions.
You give all the doubt that is needed for them to continue getting away with this.
This is hardly the first time this has happened.
During the Tea Party protests there were a few photographed, at TP protests, dressed as TP'ers, holding up racist signs and the TP was quick to point out (rightly) that the TP is not a racist group, that we shouldnt judge them all by the actions of a few.
In Viet Nam there were a few attrocities commited, Viet Nam vets were quick to point out (rightly) we shouldnt judge them all by the actions of a few.
Now it seems we have to judge the whole of the union by the actions of one.
Union power should be curbed, I have no argument with that at all.
I just want more evidence that this guy, or anyone who does such a thing, is/are bone fide union members and are acting with the support/approval of the union.
Steve, from what I am reading, if you were standing on a street corner and witnessed him climb out of a van with the union logo on the side, along with other union members, all wearing union t-shirts and he walked up and knocked you on your ass, you would then ask for a union ID card and photo proof that is actually him on the membership card and maybe even the length of time he has been in the union, provided you accept such photo ID and membership card, before thinking to yourself, "damned union thug."
