Media Praises Gore, Ignores Real American Hero

It was not surprising to wake up this morning to the reports of former vice-president and failed 2000 presidential candidate, Albert Arnold Gore Jr. having received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his specious works addressing Global Climate Change. Given the past nature of this much-lauded award in awarding it to those who most seem in opposition to the wealth and well being of traditional America, I would have been shocked had he not received it.

Past “winners” include the undeniably worst president ever to occupy the Oval Office, Jimmy Carter along with Palestinian Terrorist Leader, Yasser Arafat. Former head of the decidedly anti-American United Nations, Kofi Annan, also is a past winner along with North Vietnamese Communist, Le Duc Tho, who with the help of the anti-war leftists in America, should be held responsible for the senseless slaughter of millions of innocent South Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians who couldn’t escape the Communist onslaught after they brought about the abandonment of the Vietnamese people in 1973 and turned their backs on them as they struggled against the Communist takeover in April 1975.

In my view, this “prize” amounts to little more than groups of Socialist Elites back slapping other Socialist elites. But, that doesn’t stop our more mainstream Alphabet media and their minions from acting surprised that someone as inept as Al Gore Jr. was awarded this prize.

Almost ignored in all the ballyhooing is that just yesterday a British High Court judge ruled that Gore's global warming film, "An Inconvenient Truth," while "broadly accurate," contained nine significant errors. How it retains its accuracy, I cannot understand.

This fact goes ignored today as followers of Gore’s push for him to make another run for the presidency and accolades are heaped all over him.

Most shameful is that today, while almost every American can tell you Al Gore’s name and what he is being praised for, the vast majority haven’t an inkling of an idea as to the name of Navy Lt. Michael P. Murphy or why his name should be known.

Lt. Murphy was a Navy SEAL hailing from Patchogue, N.Y. He distinguished himself on June 28, 2005, the day he gave his life in Afghanistan battling elements a vastly superior number of Taliban. The Lone Survivor of that ill-fated mission, Marcus Luttrell, a Navy Cross Recipient himself for actions that day has chronicled the actions that Lt. Murphy is being awarded our Nation’s Highest Honor in a book titled “Lone Survivor.” In part one and part two of an interview with radio host, Glenn Beck, Lutrell speaks of the horrors and bravery exhibited that fateful June day in Afghanistan.

Lt. Murphy is a National Hero at a time our nation needs heroes sorely. Accounts of his bravery and posthumous award of the Congressional Medal of Honor, presented to his family by President George W. Bush may appear in section C of our newspapers or receive a paltry 10 second mention, if that long, on CNN and the other alphabet networks.

In comparison, the unsurprising award of the Nobel Peace Prize to a charlatan as Al Gore, who has never committed a brave act in his life, will remain front page headlines and be bragged about for some time, especially if Gore decides to run for the Presidency again.

To be fair, Al Gore Jr. enlisted for two years in the U.S. Army and served in Viet Nam, for 5 months writing articles about those in combat for the Stars and Stripes. He dropped out of Seminary School and eventually entered politics.
Lt. Murphy declined acceptance to several Law Schools after college, attending SEAL mentoring sessions at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and became a Navy SEAL, probably the hardest and most intense of all Military training. He didn’t have plans to make the Navy his career, hoping to become part of the Counter-Terrorism Group with the FBI. He had been in the Navy for 5 years at the time of his death.

We wouldn't be America without men like Lt. Michael P. Murphy, who have historically and willfully placed themselves between enemies and Americans, too often at the cost of their lives. It isn't the politicians of either party who deserve accolades for accomplishments; it is the Real American Heroes like Lt. Murphy and all of the others like him.

How depressing that at a time when our Country needs Heroes as bad as we do, we are handed a charlatan like Al Gore Jr. and a Real American Hero like Lt. Michael P. Murphy receives so little mention.
