Which Candidate Displays Class?

Senator Obama, now the official nominee of the Democrat Party, made his aceptance speech in Denevr last night. Instead of a class act nominee with eloquent speech, he used the time for more of the tired rhetoric of bashing his opponent, Republicans and even traditional America.

Some excerpts from his acceptance speech,

Senator McCain likes to talk about judgment, but, really, what does it say about your judgment when you think George Bush has been right more than 90 percent of the time?

The truth is, on issue after issue that would make a difference in your lives -- on health care, and education, and the economy -- Senator McCain has been anything but independent.

He said that our economy has made great progress under this president. He said that the fundamentals of the economy are strong.

And when one of his chief advisers, the man who wrote his economic plan, was talking about the anxieties that Americans are feeling, he said that we were just suffering from a mental recession and that we've become, and I quote, "a nation of whiners."

I don't believe that Senator McCain doesn't care what's going on in the lives of Americans; I just think he doesn't know.

Why else would he define middle-class as someone making under $5 million a year? How else could he propose hundreds of billions in tax breaks for big corporations and oil companies, but not one penny of tax relief to more than 100 million Americans?

For over two decades -- for over two decades, he's subscribed to that old, discredited Republican philosophy: Give more and more to those with the most and hope that prosperity trickles down to everyone else.

You know, John McCain likes to say that he'll follow bin Laden to the gates of Hell, but he won't even follow him to the cave where he lives.

if you don't have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare voters.
If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things.

Al Gore: Still Sore

Al Gore Jr., former vice president under B.J. Clinton and failed candidate for the presidency in 2000 is apparently still sore that he couldn’t steal the election from George W. Bush in 2000.

Speaking at the Democrats coronation of the messiah, Barrack Hussein Obama, Mr. Gore cried that his loss to Bush in 2000 is the reason Obama should be elected to the presidency this year.

Uh, Al, what about experience and qualifications? Do they not matter? Or, is your only interest childish get-backs?

Gore added that had he won the election in 2000, the United States would have captured Usama bin Laden instead of going to Iraq, would have maintained a strong economy, upheld the integrity of the U.S. Constitution and be on the road to solving the challenges of global warming.

As Rosie O’Donnell has famously said, D-E-L-U-S-I-O-N-A-L!!!!!!!

How many times did the Clinton administration, of which Gore was part of, have the opportunity to get Bin Laden and either failed or turned it down? Just how does Gore propose, “He would have got Bin Laden?” He fails to say.

Maybe he would rely on his 5 months service in Viet Nam as a photographer to guide him?

How are we to believe we wouldn’t have gone into Iraq when it became official policy of the U.S. during the Clinton administration, of which he was part of, to depose Saddam Hussein? Was that just empty rhetoric?

Apparently Mr. Gore has a short memory. It was in February 2002, not far from the ruins of the destroyed World Trade Center in New York, that Gore gave a speech praising president Bush for his reaction to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. In that speech, Gore claimed that the time had come for a “final reckoning” with Iraq, calling Iraq a “virulent threat in a class by itself.”

He further stated, regarding leaving Saddam Hussein in power over Iraq at the end of the 1991 Gulf War, “Mr. Hussein was allowed to survive his defeat as the result of a calculation we all had reason to deeply regret for the ensuing decade -- and still do.”

And on August 28, 2008, he claims he would not have gone into Iraq had he been president? Was he just spewing rhetoric in 2002? Or, is he just spewing rhetoric today?

He further says, “We would have maintained a strong economy.” Has he missed, while globe trotting and emitting much carbon into the atmosphere, that the economy was producing record returns? That tax receipts were at an all time high? That is, until shortly after the Democrat party regained control of both the House and Senate.

For the final year of the Clinton administration, which he was part of, warnings of a pending economic recession were broadcast and ignored by the administration. President Bush inherited a recession and, just in case Gore forgot also, the worst terrorist attack in history early in his administration. Still, the economy faired well under Bush until Democrats seized control.

Does Gore not realize the integrity of our Constitution is just as solid today as it has ever been? Well, except for where Democrats use it to undermine the president and our Troops. I guess we should consider too how our liberties are slowly eroding under “we know better than you” legislation designed to “improve” the country, regardless of cost.

Is it not Democrats who have cried for investigation after investigation and impeach during the last 7 years? Is it not Democrats who tried unsuccessfully to taint Bush at every turn and opposed every move he makes in the War on Terror, after approving it in the House and Senate?

And finally, Global Warming? Gore’s personal cry for years has been to fearmonger the public into buying into the farce of man-made Global Warming, while he enjoys his SUV’s, Global jet setting and owning one of the most polluting homes ever built.

Doesn’t it strike you that we must give up in order the “save the planet,” but Gore and other elitist Democrats who join in his cry, do not? Maybe Gore needs to listen to more scientist instead of spreading fear and worry about a doomsday ahead if we don’t give up our few luxuries.

Obviously, as indicated by Gore’s speech tonight, he still hasn’t accepted the truth that he lost the 2000 election by a very narrow margin in Florida and all the measures he made to steal it were rebuked by the United States Supreme Court.

Hidden and not spoken of were Independent recounts that agree, Bush legally and legitimately won the Florida election in 2000.

Mr. Gore, it is long past time for you to grow up and stop whining like a little titty baby. You lost, get over it. Causing further divisions in the country isn’t beneficial to anyone, except maybe the Socialist Democrat Party trying to reinstate the failed Soviet Union in America.

Congress Shall Make No Law, But The Democrat Party Will

The first words from the First Amendment to our Constitution are supposed to guarantee our right to free speech, free religion and redress for grievances. Most notable is that it guarantees a Free Press, unhindered by government interference or censorship.

In yet another stunning example of the Democrat Party’s move to total power and Socialism in America, an ABC reporter/photographer was arrested in Denver for photographing Democrat Senators and Big Money Donors, “FROM A PUBLIC SIDEWALK!!!

After initially refusing to state what charges Asa Eslocker was being arrested for, Denver Police later stated he was being charged with trespass, interference, and failure to follow a lawful order.

Since when is it a crime to take photos of public figures from a public venue?

Isn’t this what we heard from behind the Iron Curtain and in Fascist States before?

Haven’t Democrats been warning us this is what the Republicans do?

Yet, it was at the behest of Democrats that an ABC producer working in their News investigative unit digging into the Big Money flowing into the Democrats campaign this year that a free presses first amendment right was stifled.

This wasn’t President Bush, Dick Cheney or Don Rumsfeld using the Patriot Act the left is always warning us about, it was Democrats and their Corporate Big Money donors, from inside of the Brown Palace Hotel who don’t want the nation seeing just how deep into the pockets of corporate America the Democrats, supposedly the “party of working people” really are.

With all of the photographers traversing Denver seeking photos of any and everything, why was this one lone producer from ABC singled out for performing his job on a Public Sidewalk? Why do they not want the nation knowing just who is pitching in from over 140 Corporations who donated the bulk of the $50,000,000.00 raised to ‘ordain’ Barack Obama?

Could it be that he is the one exposing them for their hypocrisy?

And, why shouldn’t America know who is financing the lavish party going on behind the scene in Denver this week?

In 2004, it was Democrats who sought out donors to the Republicans, most notably donors to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a truly grassroots group of Highly Decorated Navy Veterans of the Viet Nam War, to protest and picket homes of donors, as well as demonize a truly grassroots effort that exposed the phoniness of their candidate that year.

In 2008, a front group tied to Moveon.org, a notorious left-winged group supporting the Socialist Democrats, Accountable America sent “warning letters” out to prospective Republican donors in an effort to stifle another party’s ability to raise needed funds for a presidential election.

And yet, Democrats hide who donates to them and throws lavish parties to draw even more cash from Corporate America, who they will tell you funds the Republican Party and gouges you for goods.

Democrats stand before the world and denigrate American Heroes, calling General David Petraeus “General Betray Us” and calling our Brave Troops “cold blooded killers.” They cry “free speech.”

Republicans who travel to Denver just to report their view of the Democrat Convention are called top-tier attack dogs by Socialist left media from overseas.

Yet, the stage where Obama will make his “acceptance speech from built to resemble a Greek Temple warrants little mention. Will an American Flag be hoisted?

A television ad showing the friendship and link between Obama and domestic terrorist from the radical 60’s Weather Underground has Senator Obama and the Democrat Party’s knickers all in a twist.

Instead of countering the ad, they have called upon the Justice Department to intervene and prevent stations from running the ad, indicating what will be in store for any opposing speech should Obama and the Democrats succeed in taking over America.

It’s time Americas woke up from their slumber while we still have some liberty left. It isn’t the Republicans or the Patriot Act dissolving our liberties, it is the Democrat Party installing Socialism into our society and telling you what a great thing it is.

It is they who continue taking more and more of your money to give away. It is they who defend criminals over victims. It is they who have decided when freedom matters and when journalists performing their duties as they are supposed to in a free society that has them arrested.

Wake up, America. Radical Jihadists aren’t the only danger America presently faces.

McCain’s Golden Opportunity. Will He Blow it?

Now that we know B HO’s choice for the VP slot for the Dems is Joe Biden, outraging many Hillary Clinton supporters even more, McCain has yet another golden opportunity to run away with this election, if he takes it.

McCain is hardly the darling of the conservative Republicans, but might regain some lost support if the VP candidate he chooses is the right one.

Liberals have been encouraging him to choose someone like Joe Lieberman, Independent Democrat that the Dems crapped on in 2006 in favor of a more pacifist candidate.

Lieberman, although he sees the necessity of finishing the fight in Iraq and Afghanistan, remains a Liberal at heart though, bad news for the Republican Party.

Others think it should be Minnesota's Governor Tim Pawlenty or Louisiana's Indian- American Governor Bobby Jindal, or Mitt Romney good choices, but not the golden opportunity laid in McCain lap.

Since we know that females who were behind Senator Hillary Clinton are miffed at her being stiffed and not even being seriously considered for the job, McCain needs to appoint a qualified woman to be his Vice Presidential Choice.

The GOP has several women that are qualified to serve as VP and America is ready, long overdue actually, for women to serve at the highest levels.

Condoleeza Rice would be an excellent choice. She is qualified, has the world experience, being the current Secretary of State and has been involved with government for some time.

The main draw back is that she has never been elected to any office and has stated she doesn’t want it.

GOP Senator from Texas, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, is another excellent choice for McCain. She would bring experience to the table; she is a strong conservative and is known for taking no nonsense. Her main drawback? She too has indicated she doesn’t want the job.

Former Hewlett Packard CEO, Carly Fiorina has been mentioned as a possibility. She was once considered the most powerful woman in corporate America and has turned to political activism, most notably backing McCain’s bid for the past 15 months, would bring economic knowledge to the ticket. Like Condoleeza Rice, though, she too has never ran for or been elected to any office.

There is also Alaska’s governor, Sarah Palin. A former Beauty Queen and strong conservative, she is somewhat unknown on the national scene, but with remarkable credentials qualifying her for the slot.

She advocates drilling our own oil in ANWR and as Alaska’s governor, has a better knowledge of the region than all the crybabies in the lower 48 who oppose it. She is pro-life, a member of the NRA who hunts, fishes and runs marathons.

Her only drawback is a trumped up “investigation” over Democrat Walt Monegan being fired by her from his Public Safety Commissioner position. How like a Democrat bureaucrat to cry foul when they lose a cushy job. He claims he was fired for refusing to fire a State Trooper, Palin’s former brother-in-law, who went through a messy divorce with her sister.

Governor Palin denies the accusations, saying she replaced Monegan to go in a new direction. The ex-brother-in-law is still employed by the State Patrol, which should deflate the cries of Walt Monegan.

McCain would be a fool to throw away a golden opportunity as this to draw women who otherwise wouldn’t consider a GOP candidate into the GOP tent. It is very possible that notable females like radio talk show host, Tammy Bruce, would come to realize how they have been sold short by Democrats and groups like NOW.

It is McCain’s decision, though and frankly, he hasn’t shown much favor towards conservatives since he lost to President Bush in 2000. But, this is a golden opportunity that few candidates ever receive.

Senator, don’t be a fool. Make the right choice and select a strong conservative woman for VP. America is ready. The GOP is ready and you just might regain some favor you lost with the conservatives out here who don’t think you have what it takes.

It’s a gift, Senator McCain. This could become your election to lose. Don’t throw this one away.

UPDATE: Senator McCain has made the bold move and selected Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential condidate. Wise move, McCain. In one fell swoop, he has rekindled the conservative base, stolen the promotion of women issue away from the Democrats and taken the air out of the Democrats convention by announcing his bold selection the morning after Obama's acceptance speech.

The Obama Campaign, obviously upset over this ad, are sending letters to stations to "encourage" them to drop this ad. As is usual, instead of dealing with the content, denying the opposition freedom of speech is preferred.

You Want To Play Tough, B HO?

Fresh from being “sent to us by God,” B HO now plays the tough guy act with McCain and Republicans. Whining and whimpering has gotten him nowhere like when he plays the race card, which is also getting tiresome.

Having what little record the public can see exposed by McCain, B HO angrily blurted out, “John McCain doesn't know what he's up against,” before the Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention in Orlando, Florida.

In a prior appearance before the same convention, Senator McCain stated,

“With less than three months to go before the election, a lot of people are still trying to square Sen. Obama’s varying positions on the surge in Iraq. First, he opposed the surge and confidently predicted that it would fail. Then he tried to prevent funding for the troops who carried out the surge. Not content to merely predict failure in Iraq, my opponent tried to legislate failure.”

B HO’s scant 143 days service in the U.S. Senate shows his opposition to the Iraq Theater of the War on Terror, even after all signs show success in General Petraeus’s Troop Reinforcement Plan, more popularly called “the Surge.”

Barry has made no secret that the only ‘surge’ he supports is a “surge in diplomacy,” over the surge of military forces, that has quelled much of the violence in Iraq and given the Iraqi government the space and security they need to get on their feet.

In May, the Senate passed a funding bill for our Troops, with B HO voting against it. Before the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, he stated,

“That's our message to George Bush. That’s our message to John McCain. That’s our message to Mitt Romney. That’s our message to the Republicans in Congress. It is time to bring this war to a close,” regarding his “NO” vote.

Like other Liberals, he doesn’t advocate “winning,” just “ending” the war. How he plans on getting radical Jihadists to “end their war” against us, he doesn’t explain.

Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of Britain during World War Two once said, “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.” If Churchill were alive today, would Barry tell him “you don’t know what your up against?”

Responding to McCain’s comments about his positions, B HO further told the VFW convention,

“Our job in this election is not just ‘win,’ although I’m a big believer in winning. I don't intend to lose this election,” adding the street jive, “John McCain doesn’t know what he’s up against.”

Tells us, Barry, what is McCain up against? George Soros’s money? The Chicago mob? The South side Chicago Political machine? Just what is he up against, Barry?

Is he supposed to quake in his boots, shying away from your wimpish street talk? Do you not realize he endured torture for 5 years as a Prisoner of War, Barry? Even those of us who don’t really care for McCain will back him up should you try to hire someone to smash his kneecaps, Barry.



Maybe B HO forgot that many Americans do “cling to our guns or religion” and will stand up when threatened, from within or without.

B HO ended with, “Let me be clear. I will let no one question my love of this country.”

Tells us Barry, would that be the same love you sat in Church while your Pastor of 20 years was blurting, “Goddamn America?” Did you speak out against that before it being exposed? No! Only after weeks of it being shown everywhere did you begin to act like you were bothered.

The LA Times reports, "Obama says McCain shouldn’t question his patriotism." McCain isn't questioning your patriotism, Barry, we are! We have the right to questions your patriotism or anybodies running for the highest office in the land and who desire to be "Commander in Chief" over our Military. We've already had a Draft Dodger and a Pacifist from the Dems, we don't need a Marxist.

Stop trying to act “tough,” Barry. Your South Side Chicago boys can’t take on the entire country. You just may find out Americans really are a “sleeping giant” who doesn’t give a tinkers damn about your skin color, but sees your Marxist attitude and recalls the last Marxist experiment that failed miserably.

Obama Sent By God? Oh Brother.

Ever since Senator Barack Hussein Obama became the presumptuous nominee of the Democrat Party, we conservatives have dubbed him “messiah,” Anointed one,” and such. Our ridicule was in response to the almost godlike status bestowed upon B HO, angering many a Liberal.

To Democrats Obama seems unable to do any wrong. He is looked upon as anointed to be the first Black president, even though he isn’t truly Black, being born to a White Mother and an African father from Kenya.

He is a very smooth speaker, when before a teleprompter. Off the cuff answers come a bit harder for him and he often stammers with them. Still, gaffes, misspeaks and totally bogus claims are overlooked when he speaks them while a Republican speaking the same gaffes is openly dubbed a Moron, stupid, lacking in intelligence, you name it. The anointed one is blamed for nothing.

As angry as the left gets with us, they do not silence us, though. We see their “worship” of a false idol in B HO.

Almost as if on cue, Speaker of the House, San Francisco’s own Nancy Pelosi, multi-millionaire Democrat who sees herself more as a “queen” than just another left-winged politician, has confirmed to the world that Democrats do indeed see Obama as a “messiah sent by God.”

At a California fundraiser this past weekend, Pelosi stated to all the world that B HO is "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time."

Strange comment from Speaker Pelosi considering that Democrats, through their surrogates in the National media, have continually cried about President Bush praying and believing in God.

Just before the re-election of Bush in October 2004, the New York Times’ Ron Suskind treated us to a liberal dose of “Faith, Certainty and the Presidency of George W. Bush,” letting us know the dangers of having such a “religious man” for president.

In June of 2004, former Clinton Labor Secretary and left winged professor of something at Berkeley, Robert B. Reich spilled the beans about President Bush desiring for religious people to be involved in America’s political process. As could be expected, cries of “Separation of Church and State” went up immediately, by the vertically challenged Reich.

It was in September 2004 that the Slate’s Steven Waldman let the country know how improper it was for supporters to “Thank God” Bush was in office when we were savagely attacked on September 11, 2001. He equates such supportive comments as, “He is one of those men God and fate somehow lead to the fore in times of challenge,” to claims of God endorsing Bush.



President Bush is a man who wears his faith out in he open for all to see and receives ridicule for it by those who now wish us to believe B HO is the latest "messiah."

Speaker Pelosi, ridiculing Bush, recently said, “God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States -- a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject.”

Seems the only time God gets mention in relation to President Bush is either a compliant that he believes in God, or in ridicule. But, when it comes to B HO, Speaker Pelosi wishes us to accept that B HO is “a leader that God has blessed us with.”

Does B HO even have leadership experience? No!

He does have a 20 year relationship with a Church, although from what has been made public, it was filled more with hatred than love.

From all appearances, B HO himself seems to believe that he has Gods Blessing and is an anointed messiah who does no wrong. In stumping for money in San Francisco, B HO said, “I will win. Don’t worry about that,” as if it is a foregone conclusion.

We were warned long ago,

“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?” (Matthew 7:15, 16)

Of course, we will know these “false prophets” by their “fruits,” their works. What little we can recall of B HO shows very poor “fruits.”

In 1999 he was the only Illinois State Senator to vote against a bill barring early release for (criminal) sex offenders.

He voted against filtering pornography on school and library computers and he voted for sex education for kindergarten children through the 5th grade.

In 2003, as chairman of the next Senate committee to which BAIPA (Born Alive Infants Protection Act) was sent, Obama prevented it from even getting a hearing. BAIPA, by the way, stated that all live-born babies were guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection, whether or not they were wanted.

In 2001, he voted “present” on a bill to notify parents when their minor children seek an abortion.

He voted against a cloning ban in 2000, but voted for it in 2001.

In 1997, Obama twice voted “present” on an Illinois partial-birth abortion ban.

Does this sound to you like a “a leader that God has blessed us with?”

Maybe that depends on just which god sent him.

North Westerners Agree, Drill Now!

55% of Pacific North West voters recently polled in July 2008 support increased access to domestic oil and natural gas resources.

Pew, Zogby and even CNN are discovering that the majority of Americans, including Oregonians and Washingtonians are tired of spiraling oil and gas prices and see our best choice for relief is more energy supplies.

While conservation is still desired, it isn't nearly enough. Americans all over the nation are realizing that conservation alone will not keep our society running and maintaining our lifestyle. Increasing domestic supply is the best immediate answer while alternative energy sources are discovered and perfected.

Data from the Federal Government reveals the U.S. has enough oil and natural gas to fuel more than 65 million cars for 60 years and enough natural gas to heat 60 million homes for 160 years, yet 85% of the outer continental shelf and 83% of onshore federal lands remain off limits to drilling for our own energy sources.

Are we in danger of depleting the earth's oil? Some don't think so.

The American Petroleum Institute has prepared a "Truth Primer" showing all aspects of why we saw such a drastic increase in cost the last year, to include the decline of the dollar, world unrest in Oil Producing Nations and a breakdown of how every dollar we spend at the pumps is broken down.

Separating the Rhetoric from the Reality, API supplies us with real answers to real questions, instead of the usual political rhetoric we continue to hear.

Bottom line is, America has energy needs and our own sources remain locked away from our use due to government policies. One party remained behind while the other enjoys a 5-week paid vacation, hoping to get some relief for Americans.

President Bush lifted the Presidential ban on drilling our own resources. Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi refused to allow any discussion or even an up and down vote on lifting the congressional ban and left, with her party, to relax and stump a failing book.

The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that fossil fuels will continue to meet at least 80 percent of our energy demands through 2030. Where we get it from depends a lot on you.

Do you want more elected officials who place snorkeling in the Galapagos above our needs? Or, ones who remain to fight for your interests?

Obama: "America Not What It Once Was," To A 7 Year-Old

In replying to a seven-year old as to why he is running for president, the Democrat Presumptuos nominee, Barrack Hussein Obama said, "America, uh, is -- is no longer, uh, what it -- it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, I don't want that future for my children."




Does it escape the junior senator from Illinois that America has been steadily moving left since prior to World War Two? Unwittingly, has he admitted that Socialism isn't the answer afterall?

America has been a strong conservative nation, historically. If it is no longer what it once was, that must mean it has left its conservative foundation.

So, if he doesn't want "that future" for his children, how can he continue to advocate his Marxist attitudes?

Wouldn't it have been easier to tell a Seven-year old that America is a great country full of promise?

Maybe he feels that promise belongs only to him?

Representative Henry Waxman (D. Ca), power crazed Chairman of the powerful House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, in rebutting President Bush’s weekly radio address to the nation, made the statement, “it was a very good week for the American public.”

Was it really a good week for us? Representative Waxman thinks so as he boasted of

“giving the next administration the tools it will need to start putting public health, and especially the health of our children, first.”

Waxman makes this boastful claim due to the Democrat Party majority Congress passing stricter safety laws for toys, banning lead paint (which I thought was banned long ago) and tightening restrictions on the tobacco industry, still a legal product, last I heard, if you can find a place that allows you to use it in the nation.

What Waxman failed to mention in his rebuttal address is that citizens with small children better hope their kids don’t come down very sick any time soon as they may not be able to afford the gas to drive their child to the doctor, since the Democrat Party went out of their way to block even a discussion, much less the up or down vote to reverse the congressional ban on drilling off of our shores or within the country to obtain our own oil, instead of continuing to import more than 60% from the Middle East.

In between worship sessions for B HO and calls for impeaching everyone in the Republican party, from President Bush down to your local Dog Catcher, the Democrat Party actually found time to pass two little bills, while ignoring completely the public outcry to allow drilling our own oil to increase supply.

Instead, the Democrat Party majority in Congress blocked any discussion on an Energy Plan and voted to go off on a 5-week vacation, leaving Republicans not only dumfounded, but angry enough that they staged a protest on the floor, raising quite a ruckus.

In May 2007, it was many from the Democrat Party complaining that the newly seated and formed Iraqi Parliament announced plans for a vacation, leaving essential legislation undone. Of course, our own Congress took a month long vacation at the same time as the Iraqis did, also leaving legislation undone, enjoying their time off while our Brave Troops fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Representative Adam Putnam, (R Fl) said,

“It’s time Democrats put their boarding passes back in their pockets and get to work by voting on the American Energy Act.”

My own congressman, Brian Baird (D Wa) replied,

“get real.”

Baird, as do other Democrats, seems to feel gutting our Strategic Oil Reserve of some 70 million barrels or so would do more to bring down prices and supply our energy needs that drilling billions of barrels from known oil resources offshore and in ANWR.

Instead of drilling and refining our own resources, Baird says,

“People are hurting, there’s no question in my mind. I fully understand it.” He also said he prefers to meet with “people in need, trying to come up with real solutions.”

Does he mean like B HO’s recent admonition to the public of,

“Make sure your tires are properly inflated. We could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling if everybody was just inflating their tires. And getting regular tune-ups. You’d actually save just as much!”

Is that one of those “real solutions” Baird speaks of? At a time we are importing not only some 60% of our crude oil, but gasoline already refined must be imported as well and the great plan is “keep your tires inflated?”

Alternative energy sources are an excellent idea. But guess what? They require just as much, if not more, time to perfect and manufacture than does drilling and refining our own resources while the Alternative sources are being worked on.

What do the Democrats propose we do in the meantime while energy prices soar? Inflate our tires! Then, they jump on atmosphere polluting jets and boogie out of town, leaving the American public crying for relief.

Is this the “New Direction” you signed on for, America? Higher fuel prices, higher unemployment, plummeting stock market, home values declining and consumer confidence nearing all time lows, since they gained control in 2006. Is this the “New Direction” Democrats promised you when they took back control of the Congress by storm in 2006?

Perhaps Corporations should be slammed with a windfall profits tax again, costing even more jobs?

Take from the rich, give to the poor? Government will take care of everything? Where have we all heard that myth before?

Our borders are wide open with millions ILLEGALs freely walking into the country, some taking low paying jobs that our own unskilled workers or High School kids could do. Others end up on Public Assistance, taxpayers paying for people who reside in the country in violation of standing law.

We have Troops in the field, fighting and dying to keep terrorists at bay, praying to see loved ones again, hoping the country doesn’t turn on them as it did those of us who served in Viet Nam.

We have people losing their homes, their jobs, their retirement funds as 401K’s diminish and the stock market declines and all Democrats can muster is to go off for 5 weeks and have their fun?

Representative Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.) said of the House Leadership during the protest,

“This is the people’s House. This is not Pelosi’s politburo.”

America, you have a chance to show these arrogant elitist Socialist Democrats that it is indeed “our House” this November by supporting and electing conservative candidates for the House. Take back the House for America, not for the Democrats or RINO’s whose only interest is themselves.

Was it “A Very Good Week For America?” Not as long as we are paying for party elites to enjoy 5-weeks off at our expense, while we suffer!

Give them the answer this November.

UPDATE 1: House Democrats have no intention of passing any energy solutions, opting to stall until after the November elections, when it is their belief that "Democrats will own Washington D.C." Says one top House Democrat leadership aid, “There is no crisis on our side of the aisle. We have a plan, and we will stick to it.”

You suffer while they enjoy a 5 week vacation and strategize taking your money. Time to oust these Socialists, isn't it?
