Impeach Sarah Palin

Once again, that ugly “I-word,” impeachment, is rearing its ugly little head from leftists. This time towards Alaska’s governor Sarah Palin. Since her surprise announcement as Vice Presidential candidate, have we not been inundated with reasons to throw her off the ticket? Have we not been told by such luminaries as Hollywood liberals and virtually every Obama follower, how inexperienced she is?

The looney left is already talking about it, here and here.

Of course, one call is for a “grassroots effort” at her impeachment as governor over the Tasergate non-scandal witch hunt.

It seems everywhere we turn today, we are hearing partisan Democrat hacks demanding a Republican be impeached for some reason, any reason.

It was shortly after the inauguration of President George W. Bush when the mean-spirited ridicule and attacks began, followed soon by calls for his impeachment, mostly as payback for the impeachment of B.J. Clinton, the Iraqi Theater of the War on Terror being the catalyst they used.

It would seem impeachment has become just another method of slinging mud at a Republican opponent, threats being good enough to taint an opponent, to some. Apparently, some don’t even know what impeachment is; wrongfully thinking it either removes one from office or forever stains their reputation and bio.

Believe me, impeaching B.J. Clinton left less stain on his reputation than he left on Monica’s dress. And, the real scandals were pushed aside and forgotten. But, we Republicans got him impeached in the House, while the Senate acquitted him and nothing changed, other than we were ridiculed for going after sex instead of hard scandals.

In the meantime, ol’ B.J. is a multi-millionaire and honored member of his leftist cadre.

In what can only be labeled as childish get back, something too many of our politicians have been infected with, the push to “get Bush” began as he took office, although not calls for impeachment, after the disputed recounts in Florida in 2000. Use of the “I-word” didn’t really build steam until he had the audacity to believe the intelligence left him by the Clinton administration and follow through on the Clinton policy of removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq.

That Saddam was believed to be in possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction and financing terrorist groups, after we suffered the worst terrorist attack in history, mattered little. As they did with Viet Nam, leftist Democrats, after agreeing to remove Saddam by force, lined up against President Bush, many demanding his impeachment, to no avail with the Republican majority.

Even after Democrats became the majority in both Houses of Congress, efforts fell flat, mostly because no real impeachable offense could be uncovered and Democrat leaders feared a public backlash in subsequent elections, even though we are told a majority of Americans want Bush impeached and jailed. As we all know, that hasn’t stopped the digging to find anything with fringe lunatic groups trying to build any case they can imagine to impeach. There are even calls for impeachment AFTER he leaves office.

The vitriol thrown at Alaska’s Governor, Sarah Palin, rivals that of the 8-years worth Democrat hate mongers have thrown at Bush since he narrowly defeated Al Gore in 2000. That the election and recounts were properly ended according to standing law and that Bush really did win legitimately means little to them, as we have seen for nearly 8 years now.

This gives me every reason to believe that once she and John McCain are inaugurated in January, she will continue to be their target of choice, to distract McCain from exercising his duties as President and to convince the public they made a mistake in electing them.

Sarah Palin and America deserve better than we have been seeing these last 8 years from power mad Democrats and will continue seeing once they are repelled from grabbing the White House.

How can we stop this nonsense from continuing? We can’t. All we can do is marginalize this sect of far leftists who took over the Democrat party long ago and made their deceitful voices heard throughout the country. We can continue electing conservative Republicans in every office and purge the GOP of RINO’s.

We can stop playing defense from attack after attack by the out of control leftist Democrats. Instead, we need to show America what the Democrats are really about today, Marxism and Socialism.

Sarah Palin is the shot America needs in the arm, she is a breath of fresh air who is uniquely qualified to lead the assault needed to turn Washington D.C. around. America is ready for a conservative woman to occupy an office in the White House and to lend the feminine qualities to government that many of our Moms instilled in us growing up.

Since Senator Obama has issued Marching Orders to his followers, encouraging them to “argue and get in our faces,” we should return the favor and get back in their faces, shout them down, marginalize their hateful calls, expose them as radicals.

We can no longer afford to play “nice” with hate-filled Democrats. The future of our country is too important. We cannot allow America to lose our freedom and liberties to powerful elitists that have decided they know how to live our lives better than us.

We cannot leave that for our grandchildren.

Above all, we cannot sit by again and allow them to do to Sarah Palin what we allowed them to do to George W. Bush, the only modern President to realize the danger we have been facing for decades and push back.

"We can continue electing conservative Republicans in every office and purge the GOP of RINO’s."

Exactly. And this former lifelong (It's no longer the party I knew) Dem will do her best to help. A suggestion to others - if you can afford to, consider contributing to the campaigns of worthy Republican candidates who are not campaigning in your state? Even five or ten dollars will show your support, and they are so appreciative to know that someone three thousand miles away really cares that they win!

LewWaters said...

Denise, you are not alone in being a recovering Democrat. Many of us feel just as Ronald Reagan did, we didn't leave the party, the party left us.

Angie Lee said...

There will continue to be petty attempts by petty Dems, just because they do not get their way. They've used mockery and hysterics, now resorting to angry browbeating - the next step is brute force.

They're bent over the impeachment of Clinton, for sure. History shows us that only two US Presidents have been impeached, and they were both Democrats. Under Democratic rule, we have been led into more and bigger and bloodier wars than any occurring under a Republican. Democrats have also left us the legacy of the Federal Reserve Act and financial ruin (although amazingly it was another Democratic President who tried to reverse that, and wound up with a bullet in the head for his efforts), social "programs" that have bred generations of "welfare families," and NAFTA - hallelujah I have no job but someone else does because they will do it for less!!!!

How's that for "change"?

Unknown said...

i'm a recovering republican the and opposite of every point you have argued? is true. the only reason the republican party hasn't splintered and broken into two parties, one living in reality, and one living in the ancient past, is due to the highly excessive breeding rates of the uneducated, both formally and with regards to experience of a post 1950's world, and religious freak shows. thereby, inexplicably replacing its followers through forced indoctrination.

wow, this site is lame.

My grandmother is an astronaut too.

What you describe is what you libby buds are proposing, but you are too blind to see it.

Your problem, not mine.

"wow, this site is lame."

It drew you here. What's that say about you?

Jack Cafferty CNN on Palin Curic interview:

"If John McCain wins, this woman will be one 72-year-old's heartbeat away from being president of the United States, and if that doesn't scare the hell out of you, it should,"

""""""""He asked viewers to write in opinions about Palin's qualifications for the presidency and then turned to Wolf Blitzer and said this:

"I'm 65 and have been covering politics, as have you, for a long time. That is one of the most pathetic pieces of tape I of ever seen for someone aspiring to one of the highest offices in this country"""

LewWaters said...

Jack Cafferty, rhubarb? The Same Jack Cafferty of the Communist News Netowrk?

Pray tell, why should anyone give a rats patooty what Cafferty thinks?

What makes him the supreme authority on anything?

I laugh at how a true woman cowers all you "tolerant" leftists and how she got your ruffled panties all twisted.

I'm still waiting for some qualifications and experience that says B HO should be at the top seat of the country.

Community agitator? Follower of Rev. Jeremiah Wright? What makes him ready to be president, not vice-president?

His 143 days in the Senate? Heading the Harvard Law Revue, while not publishing anything?

"Sarah Palin of Alaska is 'an instinctively effective candidate' with a 'compelling story.' I think it was exciting to some, that she was a woman."

"It was exciting that she was from Alaska. It was exciting that she's sort of like the person she is. And she grew up in a, came up in a political culture and a religious culture that is probably well to the right of the American centre. But she didn't basically define herself in those terms."

"She handled herself very well. I get why she's done so well. She, she's, it's a mistake to underestimate her. She's got good intuitive skills. They're significant.

Former President, B.J. Clinton, September 19, 2008.

Benjamin Turner said...

Do you even know what the Harvard Law Review is? It's very hard to be an editor and a publisher.

This woman is an idiot. Stop trying to rationalize her idiotic and off-base ideals. She couldn't run a bake sale, let alone the presidency.

LewWaters said...

Bennie, you moonbats really crack me up. Sarah Palin has "no experience" with 7 years as a small town Mayor and 2 years as the Alaska Governor, yet Obama, who sat in the Senate 143 days and was once a community agitator and has never served over anything, is qualified to be President.

I love seeing just how afraid of her you all are.

Don't look now, but I see a lot of leftist sexism at work. Take a long look in the mirror, Bennie.

COURIC:Why isn't it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? Allow them to spend more and put more money into the economy? Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: That's why I say, I like ever American I'm speaking with were ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the tax payers looking to bailout.

But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy - Helping the - Oh, it's got to be about job creation too. Shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americas. And trade we've got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive scary thing. But 1 in 5 jobs being created in the trade sector today. We've got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.

LewWaters said...

Katie Couric?

Scrapping the bottom of the barrel again, Rhuby?

When do any of you list what experience qualifies Obama??

Rhubarb said...

COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this — to stay informed and to understand the world?

PALIN: I’ve read most of them again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media —

COURIC: But what ones specifically? I’m curious.

PALIN: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years.

COURIC: Can you name any of them?

PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news. Alaska isn't a foreign country, where it's kind of suggested, "Wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C., may be thinking when you live up there in Alaska?" Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America."

LewWaters said...

I love the smell of liberal fear and sweat in the morning, rhubie.

It's hilarious watching you all squirm because of one little woman.

Obama Über alles

Rhubarb said...

Not squirming much.

Pew finds that 51% of Americans now believe that Palin is unqualified, up from 37% after her announcement... The gender gap in Pew's poll is huge -- 17 points among women in Obama's favor, and only four points among men in McCain's...

Quinnipiac's latest set of swing states polls finds Palin with a net negative impression in several states, including Florida, where she's spent quite a bit of campaign time. The numbers in Florida are stunning, in a sense; there's been a net swing of 13 points in Obama's favor during the past two weeks.

LewWaters said...

Ah yes, rhubbie, you all love those polls of an extremely small sampling of people, don't you?

Oh, that's right, I forgot, only when they agree with what you want others to think.

Ya'll fall for almost anything, won't you?

Gotta love those polls, though. They were sure accurate with Gore and Kerry, weren't they?

Obama Über alles, Sieg Heil Obama

Rhubarb said...

Couric: What other Supreme Court decisions do you disagree with?

Palin: Well, let's see. There's, of course in the great history of America there have been rulings, that's never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know, going through the history of America, there would be others but …

Couric: Can you think of any?

Palin: Well, I could think of … any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level. Maybe I would take issue with. But, you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a vice president, if I'm so privileged to serve, wouldn't be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today.

LewWaters said...

LOL, rhubbie, keep em coming. I can see the sweat rolling off your brow already.

BTW, did you catch where the New York Times said Couric's ratings are still in the tank?

Rhubarb said...

I realize it is hard for you to believe that Palin said these things, but they are direct quotes. But yes this would be the person a 72 year old heartbeat away from the presidency. Watch tomorrow night and see for yourself how she talks. It will be live.

LewWaters said...

You mean "direct quotes" as in "gotcha journalism?"

Katie Couric is all fluff and CBS already has been shown to doctor interviews with Mrs. Palin.

It all shows the fear the left has of this lady.

Just like the PBS moderator for tomorrow's debate between her and Biden neglecting to tell PBS or the McCain camp that she has a scheduled book release upcoming for January 20, 2009, on how great Obama's campaign is.

Would you accept Ann Coulter as an "unbiased moderator?"

Since the financial success of her book may depend on Obama winning the election, seems to be somewhat of a conflict of interest there.

But, that is the left, stack the deck then brag about how well they are.

LewWaters said...

By the way, rhubbie. If something were to happen to McCain, I'll thank God and the American voter that it is Sarah Palin a heartbeat from the presidency.

She at least knows we don't have 57 states and that Roosevelt did not go on TV to speak about the Stock Market Crash in 1929.

The thing that still amazes me, is that Obama has no experience and stumbles over his own tongue, as well as advocates Marxism and is campaigning along the lines of the the Nazi tactics Hilter used and ya'll advocate him to be the president, not the vice-president.

Ya'll make no sense!

Obama Über alles

Rhubarb said...

If Palin is to be Vice President of the US, is it too much to ask that she be able to handle Gwen Ifill?

LewWaters said...

rhubbie, she's not refusing to go before Gwen Ifill. We are merely pointing out the conflict of interest and obvious bias of what is suppoed to be an impartial moderator.

Would you like to see Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin moderate the next Obama/McCain debate and not cry bias?

Rhubarb said...

Gwen Ifill is and has always been a journalist. Coulter and Malkiin are not journalists. However, I would welcome them. Biden would have Coulter or Malkin for lunch.

LewWaters said...

rhubbie, do you really think classifying Ifill as a Journalist removes her obvious bias and conflict of interest?

She has already displayed negativity towards Mrs. Palin, has a pro-Obama book scheduled for release on January 20, 2009, has written glowing articles on the Obama's and we are supposed to accept she is impartial?

Whatever you are smoking, you need to share it ;-)

I seriously doubt Biden could eat anybodies lunch, but my point is, you know Democrats would be crying foul if someone so obviously biased towards Republicans was to be named as an "impartial moderator."

If for no other reason that the appearance of her bias, she should step aside. Or, have two moderators, one biased towards each party.

Rhubarb said...

Gwen Ifill, for whatever reason, chose against toughness. Palin seemed to have a head stuffed with answers, though not answers to the questions being asked. I understand the strategy here -- she argues that the MSM is irrelevant and evil in order to avoid press conferences. It's a ridiculous argument, of course; the McCain campaign's actual, internal argument against press conferences is simple: the candidate might melt under the pressure of rapid-fire questioning from people who won't back down. The only thing Palin proved is that she has a gift for memorization, and for reading note cards. Biden, on the other hand, seemed like an authentic leader. When he chooses not to blow hard, he's quite the senator.

Unknown said...

In less than 4 weeks you and your site will go down in the flaming bag of dog crap that represents what the Bush agenda has done to this once great country.
It is time to rebuild, to repair the damage and to make the US a shining example worthy of the world's respect. McCain/ Palin do not have the tools to get that job done.

LewWaters said...

LOL, computer. Obama will make the country a shining example of what? The failed Soviet Union?

You say McCain/Palin do not have the tools to make America great. But, 143 days in the Senate gives Obama what? Is it his community agitator experience? Acting like a street thug?

Not to worry, though. Should your boy win, I'll be right here pointing out every misstep and violation of our freedoms he makes, provided we still have free expression with him there.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Just remember, "DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN."

Unknown said...

To be fair, why don't you start out by pointing out every misstep and violation of our freedoms that has been made for the last 8 years?

Feel free to list exactly which liberties you have lost. NOt what you imagine others have, but you personally have lost or had talen away.

Incidentally, a very minor point, but Bigot is spelled with one "g" not two.

Nice condescension, by the way. You obviously think you are making a point with "may have God have mercy on my soul," but you come across as a total idiot.

My only bitterness is how you all have treated me and my brothers in arms these past decades and that you would repeat it today. That, and seeing you all desire to reform the failed Soviet Union in America.

Good luck in the future, you're going to really need it should your boy win in a few weeks. Don't come back whining when you realize you signed your life over to a Marxist.

Unknown said...

How is this for a start....

FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION: Government may monitor religious and political institutions without suspecting criminal activity to assist terror investigations.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION: Government has closed once-public immigration hearings, has secretly detained hundreds of people without charges, and has encouraged bureaucrats to resist public records questions.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH: Government may prosecute librarians or keepers of any other records if they tell anyone that the government subpoenaed information related to a terror investigation.

RIGHT TO LEGAL REPRESENTATION: Government may monitor federal prison jailhouse conversations between attorneys and clients, and deny lawyers to Americans accused of crimes.

FREEDOM FROM UNREASONABLE SEARCHES: Government may search and seize Americans' papers and effects without probable cause to assist terror investigation.

RIGHT TO A SPEEDY AND PUBLIC TRIAL: Government may jail Americans indefinitely without a trial.

RIGHT TO LIBERTY: Americans may be jailed without being charged or being able to confront witnesses against them.

Your continued use of the derogatory term "boy" just proves my point.

FYI: My father was also a Nam vet. USAF B52 tail gunner shot down during Linebacker II. So you can quit lumping everybody that does not agree with you in to a general "you all" category. I respect your service and will defend your right to express your opinion. But you still come off as a bigot. (note one g)

LewWaters said...

Mays, could bes and tha tsort isn't anything actually lost, moron.

Tail gunner on a B-52? That's a good one.

Unknown said...

OK little man.
What is your problem w/ tailgunner on a B52?

Unknown said...

A moron is someone who does not realize when the Constitution has been usurped.
A moron does not see rights and freedoms lost until they are personally affected.
A moron uses the redundant arguments to tell others their arguments are redundant.
A moron has nothing to contribute beyond racial slurs, 1950's style anti-communist propaganda and empty angry opinions.

A moron fails to realize that a B52 bomber has a 50mm cannon pointing out under it's tail.

The only thing that is a bigger joke than your blog is you old man.
I hope your retirement fund is heavily invested in AIG.

LewWaters said...

Feel better, little boy?

A moron is someone who willingly supports a Marxist for president and refuses to see or listen to what that Marxist really says.

My retirement fund is well deversified. Besides, I always have Social Security which you will have the privilege of paying for me to collect.

Unknown said...

Still no response to the question so I will ask again.
What is your problem w/ tailgunner on a B52?

And I have never felt better... thanks for asking.
You see... I realize that we are about to see a revolution in the way America conducts it's business both domestically and abroad. As much as you enjoy it, there will no longer be a need to be afraid of people who look different or have an accent. We will again be able to be proud of the direction our leaders take us and can follow with our heads held high instead of always looking behind because someone is out to get us or down at the ground because of the shame that the radical right has bestowed upon the rest of the country.
But you go right ahead and apply all of your myopic, obsolete, hateful taglines to anybody that stands on the other side of that imaginary line you have laid out. Just keep in mind, when your time of need arises... WE will be there to help YOU, because that is what we do.
I have no problem contributing to your SS, even though I may never collect mine thanks to GWB's failed policies, ill conceived war and expansion of government that have caused the largest deficit in history that your great-grandchildren will still be paying down.

Now... again...
What is your problem w/ tailgunner on a B52?
Or were you just blowing more smoke because deep down inside you know the truth about yourself but you have to keep up the image you have built?

LewWaters said...

Give it up, son. Who said I had a problem with B-52 Tail Gunners? I just said that was a good one. In act, I used to tell my First Sargeant that I wanted to reenlist to be a Tail Gunner on a B-52.

I might ask, though, what does your Dad's service have to do with you?

Your psuedo attempt as psycho babble is most laughable. But, if it makes you feel better, whatever floats your boat.

Your kind hates so much that anything disagreeing with you is considred hate. Living with as much hatred as you all have clouds the mind to facts and leaves one projecting their misgivings and shortcomings on others.

You don't impress anyone but your own little sick mind.
