Just Give Obama A Chance!

Since 'the one' has been coronated and even before, we conservatives have continually been admonished to "just give him a chance," even though they never gave President Bush a chance.

While writing another post this evening I had occasion to think on what they are really saying to us.

All throughout the Bush administration, they bellyached, complained and ridiculed his every move, even though they were benefiting from many of them.

As we return the favor, pointing out such follies as closing Guantánamo Prison and issuing immediate orders to undo every policy President Bush had in effect, they begin demanding, "just give him a chance."

What they are really saying to us is "SHUT THE HELL UP!" Although they exercised their freedom of speech and criticized President Bush at every move, they wish to deny us our freedom of speech and stop any criticism of President Zero.

They may speak freely but we are expected to sit back and just them destroy our beloved country without uttering a word.

More "el doble estandard."

Right In A Left World will not submit to this call and effort to silence conservatives and will criticize where needed and exercise my freedom of speech to "question authority" and "speak truth to power."

I believe in what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

From what I have seen so far, the left cannot take what they dish out.

Too bad, they have a good 4 years of it coming.

Amen to all of the above. The "wait and see, just give him a chance" perspective is nothing but a bunch of bull. Isn't the point of campaigning to allow a presidential candidate to tell us exactly what they will and won't do? And isn't Obama now making good on exactly the things he said - closing Guantanamo, reversing the ban on federally funded abortions, etc etc etc? As far as I'm concerned, we weren't required to "give him a chance" from the minute he opened his mouth at the beginning of the campaign. We did what we were supposed to do - we listened to him and took him at his word. If that goes against our core beliefs, tough - I'm not apologizing for disagreeing with him, especially not now.

For a true exercise in futility, press those who voted for homey on exactly why they voted for him.

Few can give any lucid reason.
