Thou Shalt Not Dissent

It seems the thin-skinned messiah occupying the Oval Office doesn’t like it much when his word is not instantly accepted as gospel. In spite of having his surrogates attack opponents unmercifully during his quest for the supreme power, words spoken against him bring throngs of thugs to do the dirty work he tries to distance himself from.

We saw a taste of this during the campaign when “Joe the Plumber” asked the anointed one about his small business tax plans. The attack machine went into high gear digging for dirt on Samuel Wurzelbacher in confidential records databases.

Of course, the unprecedented attacks on Alaska’s Governor, Sarah Palin and her family are well known by now, even with many accepting the Saturday Night Live skits by Tina Fey as fact over what Mrs. Palin herself said.

Now, we see an all out attack machine maneuver by Democrat Operatives against radio host, Rush Limbaugh.

Pres__ent Obama is noted for once telling Republicans,

You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.”

Anyone who follows politics or Rush Limbaugh knows that the Republican Party has not listened to him as they act opposite of what he speaks all too often. Electoral results have shown their folly of not listening to Rush, at least once in a while.

Former President B.J. Clinton made a futile attempt to tie Rush Limbuagh and talk radio in general to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City in May 1995.

While Rush Limbaugh is the main target, since he is the number one talk radio host in America with the largest audience, some 22 million listeners, this onslaught of free speech is not restricted to him alone. Dissent, seen as disagreeing with Obama policy proposals, isn’t tolerated from Obama supporters either. Long time Democrat and Obama supporter, Jim Cramer criticized the Obama spending plans.

Fox News’s Sean Hannity is also under fire for not being in agreement with the new messiah class occupying the White House, as can be seen by recordings of Obama quotes played at the beginning of Sean’s daily radio program.

Compare this to the embarrassing and outrageous attacks and accusations leveled against President George W. Bush during his eight years in office, not only by left winged talking heads, but politicians in office and their staff. Bush never felt the need to comprise an enemies list to silence those critics, no matter how egregious their rhetoric.

Richard Nixon resigned in disgrace back in 1974. He too had an enemy’s list that took him some 3 or 4 years to build. Pres__ent Obama has written his in 6 weeks and it’s growing.

It was former First Lady, Senator and now Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton who screeched in 2003,
I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic. And we should stand up and say we are Americans, and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration!”

Her rant apparently doesn’t apply to the Pres__ent Obama’s administration.

Long ago, 1946 to be exact, a small group of recently returned Veterans from World War Two, grew tired of the Democratic Political Machine that took over their community in McMinn County, Tennessee. Open voting was being denied. Dissent might draw a black jack across your brow. Arrests of those who simply wanted to live their lives in freedom from the corruption running rampant in the county was outrageous. One voter was even shot for refusing to “vote the right way.”

Those Veterans formed a new party to wrest control of their county from the Democratic Party Machine and on Election Day, faced much physical opposition from the entrenched Democratic Party Political Machine.

Receiving no help from corrupt state officials, these Veterans recalled their Military training that saw them to successful victory after victory in Europe and the Pacific in the recently won war and the Battle of Athens, Tennessee ensued, passing today into legend by a few, largely forgotten by most.

Shortly after this incident, Eleanor Roosevelt wrote,
If a political machine does not allow the people free expression, then freedom-loving people lose their faith in the machinery under which their government functions.” She also said, “The most powerful machine cannot exist without the support of the people. Political bosses and political machinery can be good, but the minute they cease to express the will of the people, their days are numbered.”

Nearly a century before that Abraham Lincoln said,
The government, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it.”

Even traitorous failed candidate, John ‘F’in Kerry (who served in Viet Nam), in his 2006 speech at Faneuil Hall, cried, “that true patriots must defend the right of dissent, and hear the voices of dissenters…” Of course, that diatribe was against President Bush, so it is apparently to be ignored when applied to Pres__ent Obama and his henchmen.

We are a large country with a diverse people but mostly united in desiring freedom and liberty.

Pres__ent Obama would do well to recall the words above and remember that in 1946, freedom lovers took back their community as they had to.

I pray there is no need for a repeat.

James Madison was one smart dude. We should stop once in a while and remember some of the things he brought forward:

Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace.

AND

Crisis is the rallying cry of the tyrant.

Sound kind of like what we're going through today?

If you note, the same cries of "crisis" and "can't wait" are being used by pres__ent Obama in his Blitzkrieg type push for Socialized healthcare that he used in his stimulus package that has bankrupted the economy and drove the stock market to such lows.

Exactly my point, Lew.

Cries of crisis: We need this and we need this now. And I think he's specifically crowed the word "crisis."

It's only a matter of time.

He's working on that standing army with his "civilian security force." The press has already shown how ENSLAVED they are to him and his every move. There's legislation on the move that will so severely impair some people's ability to exercise their right to bear arms - MOST of us, as a matter of fact, like the POOR people Barry has such a penchant for - that soon enough we will be disarmed.

Sounds like a recipe for tyranny to me. And you know what they say about too many chefs....

Hey, that little Pres__ent Obama thing you're doing now is very cute.

That's, like, some kind of sign of your rage or something, huh? I guess you don't recognize him as your President, or something.

Very effective. Keep it up. I'm sure it makes you feel good.

LewWaters said...

No, snarkie, he isn't my President. Then again, will you state that President Bush was yours?

Sorry, but it isn't rage. The rage will be on your side when you realize what a bill of goods you were sold with this phony.

Whoopi Goldberg is already realizing how all of her hard work will result in her wealth being unfairly taken. Others are slowly taking off their rose colored glasses and seeing they screwed up big time.

I doubt you are smart enough to see it for yourself.

Sieg Heil Obama, Obama Über alles

He can sod off, for all I care.

My latest "junk" might be a bit much here, so I'll let you decide if you want me to cross-post it here or not.

Just holler, Lew.
